Youth camp for human rights (YCHR) is a vibrant initiative to enhance youth understanding about human rights. It’s an inspiring initiative to build empathy and solidarity for victims of human rights violations.
YCHR 2011 was participated by 21 students from 10 different high schools in Jakarta and its surrounding areas. The students came from different social backgrounds, different faiths and ethnicities. They have moved beyond differences to learn how to share the world together, without fear.
YCHR 2011 was initiated and organized by the Indonesian Association of Families of the disappeared (IKOHI), and supported by HIVOS Regional Office of Southeast Asia. The event was held in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia on 14-16 January 2011.
